It is very easy to market or broker information to others while being a stay at home mom due to the explosive advances in technology and the expanding field of information brokering. All you need to do is find information products that you develop and sell to others. This stay at home mom business can become a dream come true by finding a product in one of these three ways. One, you can take any career experience and share it with others. Two, you can share something that has impacted or transformed your life that you know will help others. Or three, find someone else who has a wealth of information about different subjects who has never shared them with anyone. Doing any of these three things will put you on the path of having a stay at home mom business in information marketing or brokering.

Many companies lack the time and personnel that are required to sort through mountains of documents in search of a specific piece of needed information. This is where you could step in. You would be the middle man between the new information, and the client looking for that information. When you know what information the client is looking for, you find the internet or published source for that information, and then for a fee, sell it to the client.

Before the computer revolution, a small scale research service would have not been able to catalog, store, retrieve, and resell information to clients in a cost effective way. Now, with the ever growing amount of information, its availablity through computer communications and its bearing on corporate decision making, information brokering has gained a new importance in the business world. This new techonology has made it possible for you to stay at home and do the work of a vast research staff and library.

You can pick the type of clients you like to work with and also pick a niche topic. This is a business in which you can focus or expand your base of operations as far and as fast as you want.

Being able to enjoy the flexibility in the work schedule of being in a stay at home business is truly one of its rewards. A key component to the success of your business is keeping yourself organized, and once you are organized, you will have the freedom to flex your time to include raising your family.

Don't expect this to be a get rich quick type of business, in order to be successful in your information brokering business, you will need time and dedication, and persistance. You have to make the commitment to put so many hours a week into it, and then stick to that time frame week after week. A key benefit is that you can work your schedule around other commitments, and have flexible hours. You need to set the number of hours you would like to work per week and then stick to that many hours every week.

Another perk of owning your own information product is the ability to present your expertise to others. Consulting and mentoring clients is a natural outgrowth of sharing what you know with a whole community of people that are waiting to hear from you!
